Melissa Farris is a filmmaker and producer based in New York City. With a forty-year career as a stage and screen actress and as a writer, Farris has always been intent on documenting the human condition. Her fascination with individuals and their stories led to her filmmaking debut with the award-winning short film Life Reflecting (2020), on which she served as both writer and producer. With a body of work that thematically explores relationships under stress, she has now completed her second film which focuses on family relationships during the “lost year” of COVID. “Lonely Voices, Grandparents Coping with COVID,” produced and directed by Melissa Farris, was released in July 2021.
Melissa Farris has been a member of SAG-AFTRA and of AEA for over forty years.
